Helium Balloon Safety on School Buses

As a reminder helium balloons on our buses are not allowed due to safety concerns. In the Standards for Utah School Buses and Operation, Page 127, Appendix 3, pupil rules, it reads:

-Pupils shall remain seated and keep aisles and exits clear,

-Pupils shall refrain from throwing or passing objects on from, or into buses,

-Pupils are permitted to carry only objects that can be held on one's lap,

-Pupils shall not carry hazardous materials, nuisance items, and animals onto the bus,

-Pupils shall respect the rights and safety of others.

Helium balloons can create a safety hazard when allowed on a bus and will not be allowed on the bus. Please make arrangements to pick up balloons from the school if your child rides a bus.

Thank you,

2010-2011 Kindergarten

We are currently collecting names of students who will qualify for kindergarten for the 2010-2011 school year.

If you have a child that will be five years old on or before September 1, 2010 please call the school and let us know. Our office can fill out the paperwork over the phone. If you are aware of a neighbor who has a qualifying kindergarten child, please share this information with them.

Thank you!
